The impact of leadership style on workers’ stress in Vietnamese supply enterprises

Abstract

This study is conducted based on a survey of 396 employees at 30 supply service enterprises in Vietnam. The data was collected from May to July, 2021 and in the epicenter of the Covid-19 pandemic in Vietnam such as Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Hanoi, Bac Giang, Bac Ninh. The results indicate that the transformational leadership style will reduce the level of workers’ stress, while the transactional leadership style will increase the stress at work. In addition, the study illustrates that there is no difference in work stress among employees of different ages and genders.
