Average ages of marriage, governance quality and poverty: Empirical evidence of provincial levels from Vietnam
Keywords:
Abstract
The paper studies the impact of the average age of marriage and governance quality on poverty across 63 provinces of Vietnam in the period 2006-2021. Findings indicate that elevating the average age of marriage and enhancing governance quality correlate positively with reducing poverty levels in Vietnam. Notably, in provinces with better governance quality, the positive effects of delaying marriage on poverty reduction are more pronounced.
