Abstract
Based on a sociological approach, through in-depth interviews with 45 individuals combined with a quantitative survey of 730 households in six communes of the former Dak Nong province (now Lam Dong province) during March–April 2024, and using variables measuring linkage values, solidarity, and self-governance in building new rural areas among ethnic minority communities with respect to village conventions, this paper analyzes the role of the grassroots government system in formulating these village conventions. The research findings indicate that the grassroots government system in Dak Nong province plays a role in drafting village conventions, organizing their implementation, and contributing to enhancing their positive impacts and significance in community life, in connection with the local new rural development program.
