Abstract

This article presents the results of a numerical investigation of the optical force acting on nanoparticles in a laser beam with a ring Gauss structure. Beams with intensity distribution according to the ring Gauss function created from nonlinear optical systems are approximately described by mathematical expressions. On that basis, we calculate the optical force acting on microparticles (nanoscale) with refractive indices larger and smaller than the environmental refractive index. The optical force distribution in beam space has been numerically investigated, analyzed and commented for the purpose of studying the dynamics of microparticles in optical tweezers.
