TESTING AND ASSESSING ENGLISH NON-MAJOR STUDENTS’ SPEAKING SKILLS AT HONG DUC UNIVERSITY: AN EMPIRICAL STUDY

English non-major students’ speaking skills are usually tested and assessed
mainly based only on information skill. Two other skills including ineractive skills and
interactional management skills are omitted. The objective of the empirical study will
motivate speaking skills for each student focusing on three skills above implemented with
empirical methodology. The study relies solely on evidence obtained through observation.
This empirical study focuses on testing and assessing students’ 3 skills oral ability fully and
comprehensively. Data of the study will show the strength and weakness of students and
apply for the next classes.
