Abstract

In the library operation cycle, serving readers is the last stage. The library
can fully self-assess its performance by assessing the quality of service to readers. In this
article, the author mentions issues related to the benefit of readers in the library reading
rooms. It is essential to focus on improving the quality of customer service and the importance
of librarians in managing and disseminating information sources and databases in the era
of information explosion and the development of digital libraries. The article points out the
advantages, difficulties and limitations directly affecting the service of readers and improving
the quality of serving readers. On that basis, propose solutions and recommendations to help
readers in the reading rooms of Hanoi Open University’s library and to develop and attract
readers to the library more to create the reading culture at Hanoi Open university.
