THE MANIFESTATIONS OF THE YIN-YANG PHILOSOPHY AND FOLK RELIGION FROM THE CHINESE COMMUNITY – A CASE STUDY OF FUJIAN ASSEMBLY HALL (HOI AN)

Abstract

This article explores the cultural appearance of The Chinese community in Vietnam, case study of the Fujian Assembly Hall in Hoi An, Viet Nam. The appearance of Chinese culture is mentioned through the architecture, paintings and statues in this hall, thereby reflecting the yin-yang philosophy, ambitions and hardships of the Chinese people from the past at the first time they had set out to sea for a living in the land of Vietnam.
