Solutions to improve the quantity and quality of writing textbooks and reference materials at Quang Ninh University of Industry

Abstract

In 2021, the Ministry of Education and Training issued a Circular on the compilation, selection, appraisal, approval and use of teaching materials and university education textbooks, which requires each subject to have at least one textbook as the main document for teaching and learning. However, at present, the current situation of compiling textbooks and reference materials at some universities is still limited in both quantity and quality, due to many reasons such as lecturer capacity, lack of resources, and not closely linked to practice. This article will analyze the current situation of compiling undergraduate and master's textbooks at Quang Ninh University of Industry based on aggregated data from 2014-2025 and propose solutions to improve the quantity and quality of textbooks and reference materials in the coming time.
