The green-glazed porcelain is one of the eight types of porcelain of the Trần Dynasty found in 36 Điện Biên Phủ site, Hanoi. This is a porcelain type between the evergreen-glazed and the celadon, dating back to the second half of 14th century. The green-glazed porcelain type at 36 Điện Biên Phủ site includes bowls, plates, basins, high-footed bows, lids, vases, cups, lime pots, tripods, and animal statues. The most common types are the bowl and plate; bowls account for 50.20%, plates account for 26.29% of the total green glazed porcelain of enough shaped. Decorative patterns on green-glazed porcelain in the second half of the 14th century are quite diverse, with 21 motifs, including floral motifs such as chrysanthemum petal bands with 502/2,222 artifacts, accounting for 22.59%, lotus leaves with 467/2,222 artifacts, accounting for 21.02%, chrysanthemums (435/2,222 artifacts, accounting for 19.58%), lotus flowers (161/2,222 artifacts, accounting for 7.25%), 6-8 petal flowers (25/2,222 artifacts, accounting for 1.13%), stylized flowers and leaves, stylized leaves, lotus combined with chrysanthemums or clouds...; animal themes such as fish combined with water waves, phoenixes, deer; natural themes such as water waves shaped like fish scales, clouds; cultural and religious themes such as the Eight Treasures (181 artifacts, accounting for 8.15%). Some porcelains have embossed Quan dạng characters in the middle. Green-glazed porcelain of the second half of the 14th century in the Thăng Long Imperial Citadel area was created by three techniques: relief printing, incised, scraping relief or petal-shaped depression. The overlapping and broken porcelain pieces remaining in the firing container showed that green-glazed porcelain was produced in the Thăng Long ceramic center and was fired together with brown-white glazed and white glazed ones. Green-glazed porcelain was discovered on shipwrecks in the Tam Hải sea area (Quảng Nam) and many provinces in the Northern Delta, the midlands and the northern mountainous region through the coastal and river trade routes.
