Đặc trưng kỹ thuật tráng men và cấu trúc lò nung trong gốm Sài Gòn
Tóm tắt
This study explores the distinctive cultural and technical symbolism inherent in Saigon ceramics, a tradition that evolved from the integration of indigenous practices and Chinese manufacturing techniques spanning the 18th to mid-20th centuries in Southern Vietnam. The research aims to systematize the technical characteristics associated with kiln firing and glazing within Saigon's traditional pottery sector. Key elements examined include the identification of specific raw materials, the intricacies of glaze formulation, the architectural features of various kiln types such as dragon kilns and chamber kilns and the comprehensive processes of firing, unstacking, and finishing. Considering the contemporary decline of traditional pottery production in Saigon and the significant threat posed to indigenous manufacturing knowledge, this paper not only provides a thorough historical and technical overview but also emphasizes the urgent necessity of preserving and promoting this cultural heritage. Ultimately, this work aspires to enhance public and generational awareness of the historical and technical significance of Saigon ceramics, thereby fostering a commitment to safeguarding the rich legacy of Vietnamese handicraft traditions.##plugins.themes.default.displayStats.downloads##
