Experimental effectiveness of applying artificial intelligence in teaching geography in high school
Abstract
The study uses a pedagogical experimental method to evaluate the effectiveness of applying artificial intelligence (AI) in teaching Geography in high school. The post-impact assessment study design was applied to two groups of students: the experimental group using AI to support teaching and the control group not using AI. The subjects were 154 students in grades 10 and 11 from Huong Vinh High School (Hue) and Tran Cao Van High School (Quang Nam). Quantitative data analysis using SPSS 26.0 showed that the average score of the experimental group was higher than that of the control class and the Sig. Value = 0.000 (p < 0.001) showed a statistically significant difference. The qualitative survey results showed students' positive attitudes towards using AI in teaching, helping to increase their interest and learning effectiveness. The study demonstrates the feasibility and effectiveness of AI technology in innovating teaching methods for geography in high school.
