Abstract

The article presents an ethnographic approach to community archaeology research that emphasizes the relationship between local communities and archaeology with the goal of enhancing public awareness of the significance of local cultural heritage. Consequently, ethnographic archaeology can serve to create context-specific research, considering the socio-cultural environment in the planning and execution of projects. Based on this, the considerations for executing archaeological projects in Vietnam involve examining the material aspects of the past, particularly emphasizing the link between contemporary individuals and archaeology as well as heritage.
