GENDER DIFFERENCE IN EXPENDITURE ON TREATMENT FOR CHRONIC DISEASE BY VIETNAM'S RURAL INHABITANTS

Abstract

Using quantitative and qualitative survey data from 2013-14 in three areas of rural Vietnam, the result shows that men paid for chronic disease treatment higher than women. Based on the perspective of the theoretical framework of cultural and economic - political relativity, the article explains the gender difference in spending on medical treatment of rural residents in Vietnam.
