Abstract

Population changes occurred in numerous countries globally between the late 19th century and the early 21st century. In this context, researchers around the world have focused extensively on researching reproductive behaviour, childbearing decisions, and fertility levels. This article presents theoretical perspectives on these areas and their relevance to Vietnam, including rational choice theory, norm theory, social network theory, cultural evolution theory, and planned behaviour theory.
