ACCESS TO HEALTH SERVICES FOR THE ELDERLY IN RURAL AREAS OF THAI BINH PROVINCE AND LAO CAI PROVINCE

Abstract

Vietnam ranks among the nations experiencing the most rapid demographic ageing globally. This presents considerable challenges to guaranteeing social security for the elderly and access to health services specifically. Based on quantitative and qualitative data, this article analyses the access to health services for the elderly in rural areas of Thai Binh province and Lao Cai province. It identifies the challenges faced in accessing these services that require further attention and resolution in the near future.
