IMPLEMENTING NEW RURAL CONSTRUCTION CRITERIA IN AN GIANG PROVINCE

Abstract

New rural construction represents a significant policy initiative by the Party and State aimed at promoting sustainable rural development and enhancing both the material and spiritual well-being of the people. Based on the analysis of statistical sources and secondary documents, the article examines the implementation of new rural construction criteria in An Giang province. The research findings indicate that after 14 years of implementation, An Giang has attained positive outcomes in sustainable rural development. However, certain new rural criteria met by the province remain at a low level or lack of sustainability. The article presents several recommendations to help An Giang province in effectively implementing these criteria in the future.
