RESEARCHER NGUYEN DANG NA AND INTERPRETATIONS ON VIETNAMESE MEDIEVAL LITERATURE

Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Dang Na (1942-2014, from Dong Thap) significantly contributed to the research and teaching of literature. His work includes the discovery, decoding, and explanation of various phenomena related to genres, authors, and works of Vietnamese medieval literature that were from the Ly-Tran period in the 10th-14th centuries to the end of the 19th century. The article examines Nguyen Dang Na's application of contemporary theory to elucidate issues related to genres and compilation methods in Thien Uyen Tap Anh, Viet Dien U Linh, and Linh Nam Chich Quai. It also explores the discovery and completion of textual materials, as well as the translation of Nam Ong Mong Luc and Nien Pha Ky, alongside various phenomena concerning authors and notable works, including those by Khuong Viet Ngo Chan Luu, Khong Lo, Nguyen Trai, Nguyen Du, Le Tung, Vu Phuong De, Nguyen Khoa Chiem, Ho Xuan Huong, Nguyen Khuyen, Le Hoan, and Nguyen Dong Chi.
