GENDER EQUALITY AND ECOSOCIAL INDICATORS IN THE MEKONG DELTA
Keywords:
Abstract
This article examines gender equality through the analysis of statistical data, reports from relevant agencies, and associated documents, focusing on socio-economic indicators in the Mekong Delta. The research findings indicate that gender equality is positively reflected in the indicators of gender balance at birth, total fertility rate, and education and training index in this region. Despite the ratio of unpaid care work time and labor market participation opportunities, the data indicates no significant difference between the Mekong Delta and the national average, even though this region exhibits characteristics of gender openness and equality.
