BEN TRE TRANSPORT INFRASTRUCTURE (1997 - 2022)

Abstract

Ben Tre province made up of three distinct islets: Bao, Minh, and An Hoa, which are detached from the mainland and characterized by an abundance of rivers, canals, and ditches, thereby complicating transportation logistics. Utilizing credible documentation from the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee, pertinent agencies, and empirical observations, this article conducts a comprehensive analysis and evaluation of the transport infrastructure in Ben Tre province prior to 1997; it further examines the developmental trajectory during the period 1997-2022 and offers recommendations for enhancing the province's transport infrastructure to adequately address the demands of local socio-economic development and regional linkage in the future.
