PROMOTING NATIONAL IDENTITY IN THE CONTEXT OF DIGITAL INTEGRATION: A PERSPECTIVE FROM VIETNAM

In the context of globalization and the fourth industrial revolution, Vietnam is a part of the wave of digital integration. While digital transformation presents numerous opportunities for development, it simultaneously brings forth significant challenges in maintaining and promoting national identity. How can a nation’s identity not be dissolved in the global flow, but instead become a fulcrum and driving force in the digital age? This article presents a number of theoretical issues to initially answer this urgent question from a Vietnamese perspective.
