CONTRACT IN VIETNAMESE FEUDAL LAWS - ITS VALUES AND LIMITS

Abstract

Civil transactions were interested in and institutionalized by feudal lawmakers to make laws through covenants. Although not accounting for a large number of terms, the provisions on civil transactions in two laws of the Imperial Court Law (Le Dynasty) and Hoang Viet Law (Nguyen Dynasty) have clarified the issues and relationships in exchanging, buying and selling, renting land and other assets among feudal individuals.
