CAUSES OF DEFEAT OF THE ARMY OF REPUBLIC OF VIET NAM IN SOUTHERN VIETNAM (1973 - 1975)

Abstract

The America’s new kind of colonial war in Vietnam has ended for 45 years (1975 - 2020). After the event, there have been many efforts of Vietnamese as well as foreign researchers to analyze the causes which led to the failure of the army of the Republic of Vietnam. This paper continues to draw up some causes of this failure in 1973 - 1975 with the purpose of explaining the collapse of an army which had been built, trained, led, and provided with the most modern warfare equipments by the United States in the time.
