AGRICULTURAL TOURISM DEVELOPMENT IN THE MEKONG DELTA – VIEWPOINTS OF ENTERPRISES AND LOCAL COMMUNITIES

Abstract

In recent times, agricultural tourism activities in the Mekong Delta have been carried out widely, tourism enterprises and local community are those who play important roles in providing agricultural tourism products and services. Based on a survey of 350 participants who are representative for tourism enterprises or households who provide tourism products and services in the Mekong Delta, this paper aims to explore the opinion of tourism enterprises and local community on agricultural tourism development as well as investigating suggestions from them in order to find out solutions for enhancing quality of regional agricultural tourism activities.
