HEALTH RESEARCH ON HIV/AIDS – THEORETICAL APPROACHES

Abstract

In many studies, the reliability of research results is reflected in the association between theoretical perspectives and its applications. Each study can choose one or more appropriate theoretical approaches. In health research, especially on HIV/AIDS, foundational approaches such as human rights-based approach, social capital approach, theory of gender and power, and theory of planned behavior…help explain the diverse contents of health-care behavior, the access to health-care services as well as the relationship between health-care behavior and socio-cultural factors and community integration among people living with HIV.
