Abstract

Based mainly on the quantitative survey data conducted from October to November 2020, this article analyzed incomes and access to basic services of two ethnic minorities, which are Khmer and Cham, based on 10 criteria of the poverty standard for the period 2016-2020. The analysis showed a shortage of three basic services among the Khmer and Cham people in Ho Chi Minh City, including (i) housing services, (ii) educational services and (iii) health services, this article suggested a focused effort on several indicators to further accelerate the progress of multidimensional and sustainable reduction of poverty for the Khmer and Cham minorities.
