SOLUTION TO ENVIRONMENTAL AND CLIMATE CHANGE FOR THE MEKONG RIVER DELTA - CASE STUDY OF CA MAU AND BAC LIEU PROVINCES

Abstract

Climate change is one of the biggest challenges facing the world today. Among them, anthropogenic greenhouse gas is the main cause of climate changes. In the Mekong River Delta over the past two decades, the signs of climate change and sea level rise have become more and more evident. The negative impacts of climate change are seriously affecting food and water security and sustainable development in the Mekong River Delta. This study proposes solutions to adapt and respond to the environmental and climate change in the region, with an emphasis on the case study of Ca Mau and Bac Lieu provinces, to cope with the complexity of climate change.
