FUNCTIONAL GRAMMAR AND ITS APPLICATIONS IN TEACHING LANGUAGE

Abstract

In recent years, the application of functional grammar in language teaching has proved to possess own advantages that can facilitate students' academic success. This article explores the key concepts and the nature of functional grammar, basic differences between traditional grammar and functional grammar, and the application of functional grammar in language teaching and learning (specifically in English) in a positive way in schools.
