Abstract

As the founder of classical German philosophy, Immanuel Kant (1724 - 1804) has left mankind with many progressive and deeply humanistic ideas, including his views on happiness. Given that the purpose of human life is not how to achieve happiness but how to "deserve" happiness, his thought has left a deep mark in the history of western moral philosophy.
