Abstract

Livelihood is the foundation for the development of each ethnic group. Livelihood is closely dependent on changes in resources, the living environment, and social development conditions. Livelihood adaptation is inevitable when living conditions change. The article analyses some livelihood activities of the Nung people in the border district of Trung Khanh, Cao Bang province today, including cultivation, husbandry, bartering, loading, unloading, and transporting goods across borders. The findings of the study aid in identifying the Nung's economic behaviour in relation to the environment and local economic and social factors in the context of integration, market economy, and the COVID-19 pandemic.
