TRADITIONAL CRAFT VILLAGES IN SUSTAINABLE TOURISM DEVELOPMENT IN BEN TRE TODAY

Abstract

Ben Tre province has significant potential for developing craft village tourism, particularly focusing on traditional craft villages. Survey results indicate that traditional artisan villages in Ben Tre, through tourism activities, play a role in both socio-economic development and the preservation and promotion of the region's unique cultural heritage, similar to the Mekong Delta. Yet, the utilisation of artisan village cultural assets in tourism development in Ben Tre does not match the local potential and resources due to several factors.
