HAN NOM HERITAGE IN THE COMMUNAL HOUSES OF THE VIETNAMESE PEOPLE IN DONG NAI

Abstract

Han Nom script in the Vietnamese communal houses in Dong Nai is an ancient language heritage has historical, cultural, literary, linguistic and artistic value... is an indispensable part in local cultural heritage. Han Nom documents found in communal dwellings, such as horizontal panels, couplets, ordinations, tablets, worshiping texts, and orations, serve as reflections of the ancients' awareness, ideology, aesthetic trends, aesthetic talents, literary qualifications, notions of beauty, and manufacturing capabilities. This article elucidates the process of the existence, development, content, role, and worth of Han Nom documents in community households in Dong Nai, within the context of Dong Nai culture and Southern culture.
