Abstract

This study analyzes the current situation of social assistance activities in ensuring the rights of people with disabilities in Lạng Sơn province. Research results show that, as of December 2022, Lạng Sơn had 13,534 people with disabilities, accounting for about 1.71% of the population of the whole province. Lạng Sơn province has also focused on ensuring the rights of people with disabilities and has initially brought about practical effects. However, the work of ensuring the rights of people with disabilities still faces many difficulties such as the lack of professional social assistance workers while this demand is quite high. The article also proposes solutions to improve the role of social assistance activities in ensuring the rights of people with disabilities in Lạng Sơn province today.
