Abstract

The Indian diaspora in the US is one of the population groups that have attracted the attention of researchers because of their spectacular development: From a small community group that was quite indifferent to politics in the 1960s and 1970s, they have become a section of the population with good socio-economic status in the US. Currently, the Indian community in the US is known as one with high levels of education and income, integrating into American society but still maintaining a strong relationship with their homeland, playing an important role in the development of the US information technology and in promoting India - US relations. The paper studies the establishment of the Indian diaspora in the US and their role in promoting the relationship between the two countries.
