Chính sách ổn định trật tự kỷ cương, phòng chống tệ nạn xã hội của triều Lê - Trịnh ở vùng Đàng Ngoài

Abstract

During the 17^th and 18^th centuries, the Lê - Trịnh dynasty inplemented many different polices to stabilize and develop society, which focused on maintaining order, discipline and preventing social evils through many measures.  These include: issue edicts to educate the entire people; requiring the mandarins to take care for people’ lives and be strict in judging; reorganizing of officials in border areas; prohibiting gambling and alcohol addiction in all social classes, and prevented theft. Although the implementation of these measures took place in the context of the Lê - Trịnh dynastie had to fronted many difficulties such as the civil war with the Nguyễn lord administration in Cochinchina, peasants' struggle movement and the influence of Western factors but to a certain extent, the actions of the contemporary state had positive impacts on stabilizing society according to Confucian ideology.
