A proposed mathematical model for reconfiguration strategies of photovoltaic panels under non-homogeneous solar irradiation

Abstract
Under non-homogeneous solar irradiation, photovoltaic panels receive different solar irradiance, resulting in a
decrease in efficiency of the PV generation system. There are some technical solutions for mismatch problems.
One of them is to reconfigurate of the PV panels, namely changing the connections of the PV panels from the
initial configuration to the optimal configuration.
In this paper, a mathematical model for reconfiguration strategies of photovoltaic panels under nonhomogeneous solar irradiation using Total-Cross-Tied topology is proposed. The general mathematical model
provides researchers better understanding of the problem and is also the basis for evaluating the accuracy of the proposed
algorithms.
