Abstract

The paper presents the results of Backstepping based control design for speed regulation of the load motor to
match speed reference, furthermore to ensure "fast, accurate and small overshoot" electrical drive’s response
and to reduce resonance oscillations for a two–mass system comprises of an induction motor fed by voltage
source inverter with ideal control performance of stator current. This result is evidenced by Matlab-Simulink at
the point the IM operates at a steady-state speed (flux rotor is constant) and the motor operates at fieldweakening mode. The results of the research is the introduction of a new design direction, reduce the calculation
for the speed control and the flux control of the two-mass system.
