Abstract

The hot mineral water sources in the southeastern region of Bac Lieu province (now is Ca Mau province) are distributed systematically, linked to their origins with magma heat sources and deep faults in the development history of the Cuu Long Cenozoic basin. Identification of hot mineral water sources: natural mineral water, low mineralisation, radon, radium, hot. The hot mineral water in the southeastern region of Bac Lieu province has good quality, meeting the needs for drinking, bottling, and bathing. Additionally, this is a unique type of hot mineral water in Vietnam, characterised by its naturally high pH, making it an alkaline natural hot mineral water source, which can be exploited for tourism development. With the characteristics of hot mineral water distribution in Hung Hoi cluster (at a depth of 100-120 m) and Vinh Trach Dong cluster (at a depth of 105-120 m), the natural alkaline hot mineral water sources have good quality and many superior characteristics, highlighting its value and the need for further research and rational use strategies.
