Abstract

In this study, hydroxyapatite (HA) was synthesised using the hydrothermal method at a molar ratio of Ca/P=1.67, pH 10, at 150oC for 12 hours with the feedstock from the pig bone. The characteristic properties of pig bone and HA products were evaluated via many advanced analysis methods, such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) and X-ray fluorescence (XRF) methods...
