Drought risk assessment in Mid-Central Vietnam.

Abstract

This paper assesses the drought risk on the IPCC’s approach based on the analysis of hazard factors, exposure to hazards, and vulnerability in Mid-Central Vietnam. Precipitation and evaporation data at stations were used to calculate drought hazard. Socio-economic data collected from the results of surveys, field surveys and statistical yearbooks were used to calculate drought exposure and vulnerability. The result showed that drought risk has max level in Quang Binh especially in Le Thuy and Bo Trach districts.
