The composition and distribution of the Cicadidae family (Hemiptera: Auchenorrhyncha) from Northwestern in Vietnam

Abstract

In this study, the authors collected 63 species, of which 15 species are only recorded in Vietnam, in which 2 species are described new to science, 8 species are recorded only distributed in the western north that is not found in other regions, including: Eopycna indochinensis (Distant, 1913), Gaeana vitalisi (Distant, 1913), Terpnosia rustica (Distant, 1917), Terpnosia mesonotalis (Distant, 1917), Semia majuscula (Distant, 1917), Karenia hoanglienensis (Pham & Yang, 2012), Huechys tonkinensis (Distant, 1917); and Scieroptera delineata (Distant, 1917) it can be said, these are endemic species of the northwest region, Vietnam.
