Mô hình ứng phó với biến đổi khí hậu dựa vào cộng đồng tại khu vực Tây Bắc bộ: Thực tiễn và giải pháp nhân rộng
Abstract
Climate change is placing significant pressure on ecosystems and livelihoods in the Northwest region of Vietnam. This paper reviews community-based adaptation (CBA) models and systematizes those that have been implemented in six provinces of the region. Data were synthesized from secondary sources and field surveys. The findings highlight three prominent groups of models: (i) Climate-adaptive agricultural livelihoods; (ii) Water-saving irrigation systems; (iii) Agroforestry-based livelihood models. The analysis demonstrates simultaneous economic, environmental, and social benefits, while challenges remain in infrastructure, finance, technology and market linkages. The paper proposes scaling-up solutions through increased investment and extension services, development of value chains, strengthened incentive policies, and enhanced multi-stakeholder collaboration.
