Research on scientific basis to determine water resource function, water usage purpose based on economic benefits and environmental protection of surface water in Dong Nai river basin

Abstract

     The functions of a water source are certain uses of water based on the beneficial values of the water source. Therefore, determining the function of water sources and the purpose of water use based on the value of economic benefits and protection of the water environment is necessary as a basis for implementing measures to manage and protect water sources and food safety. Currently licensing activities to exploit and use water resources and discharge wastewater into water sources to effectively manage and protect water resources in the current situation. This article introduces the method of applying mathematical models to determine the function of water resources, water use purposes based on the value of economic benefits and environmental protection of surface water applied to the Dong Nai river basin. The results determine the water source functions of 122 river and stream sections in the Dong Nai river basin with the following water source functions: Water supply for daily life; Water supply for hydropower; Water supply for industrial production; Water supply for tourism and services; Water supply for agricultural production.
