PROMOTING THE VALUE OF THE HOA BAN FLOWER FESTIVAL IN TOURISM DEVELOPMENT IN DIEN BIEN PROVINCE TODAY: SITUATION AND ISSUES TO IMPLEMENTED

Abstract

In order to turn tourism into a spearhead economic sector, in recent years Dien Bien province has promoted the promotion of traditional cultural values of ethnic groups for the development of this sector, including the organization of flower festivals. Since being held (2014) up to now, the Hoa Ban flower festival not only has important values and meanings in honoring, preserving and promoting different types of national traditional culture, but also contribute to the promotion of local socio-economic development. Therefore, the Hoa Ban flower festival has become a “brand” contributing to promoting the image of the land and people of Dien Bien province in particular, the Northwest region in general.
