Abstract

SOLUTIONS ON TOURISM INDUSTRY ADAPTING TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC: LESSONS AND SUGGESTIONS FOR VIETNAM
Tourism is one of the first sectors deeply affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. The measures taken to prevent the spread of the virus Corona have resulted in a near complete global shutdown of this industry. Through the research article on the policies of some countries around the world applied to activate and revive it, draw out the tasks and solutions for Vietnam’s tourism in the short and long term. The suggested solutions are: towards enhancing the role of domestic tourism, restoring visitor confidence, supporting tourism businesses to adapt and survive, digital transformation, thinking travel back to the future and accelerate this industry’s transition towards sustainability.
