The Khot Set - A Tool of Muong Mo Father

Abstract

Among the Muong people the shaman who conducts
the funeral rite is called the Mo father. He not only has the
credibility of the villagers, but he also has a special ability - to
communicate with the divine and deceased. It is important that
he has what is called a Khot set to perform this ceremony. The
Khot is a set of sacred objects containing supernatural powers
conveyed by heaven. A Mo father with many Khots would be
both more powerful, to expel the evil ghosts, and more
reputable.
