Transformations of Theravada Buddhism in the Khmer Community in the Southwest Part of Vietnam

Abstract

Theravada Buddhism is closely associated with the
Khmer in the South West region of Vietnam and contributes to
the cultural identity of this ethnic community. In recent years,
Theravada Buddhism has been changing in both positive and
negative aspects in the Khmer community in the South West part
of Vietnam. These changes have posed many problems for the
