Changes in Religious Life in Vietnam - A Factor in Completing the Religious Policy

The conference “Religious Life in Vietnam from 1990 to present” organized by the Institute for Religious Studies in December 2017 has led to my thinking on the reality of “transformation in religious life” over some past decades. We need to explain “what has happened in religious life in Vietnam since 1990?” and “the challenges for the renovation of religious policy” as mentioned in the instrument of the 11th and 12th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam. The key issue is whether transformation in religious life is an important factor to be considered in the improvement of the religious policy in Vietnam today.
