-         This study focuses on the metaphor swith the target domain LIFE in modern English and Vietnamese poems with anaim to analyze and compare the cultural Ẩn dụ... 29 values such as attitudes and believes which play the role of background for the choice of source domains in two languages. Beside the conceptual metaphor: LIFE IS A JOURNEY which is widely accepted by many researchers, this studyhas discovered some other interesting conceptual ones.
