INTERPRETATION ON THE GENRE OF NARRATIVE AND NON-FICTION IN LANGUAGE 6 TEXTBOOKS (VOLUME 1 – CREATIVE HORIZONS)

Abstract

Literature textbooks compiled according to The 2018 Literature Education Program attach importance to training skills in reading and understanding literary texts. In particular, the editors of Literature textbooks pay special attention to the issue of providing knowledge about prose genres and text type. This article attempts to analyze the presentation and interpretation related to narrative and non-fiction genres in the textbook Literature 6 (Volume 1, Creative Horizons series). We hope these analyzes contribute to helping teachers and students better understand the subject curriculum as well as current Literature textbooks.
