Abstract

The organization of career guidance activities plays a crucial role in developing life skills and vocational skills for adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This study employed survey methods, interviews, and document analysis to assess the current status of career guidance activities at two specialized centers in Hanoi. The survey results indicated that career guidance activities have achieved certain positive outcomes, such as the correct awareness among teachers and parents regarding the purpose and significance of career guidance for adolescents with ASD. However, these activities remain fragmented, lack systematic organization, and have yet to fully meet the vocational skill development needs of adolescents with ASD. Based on the findings, the study proposes the development of an integrated vocational training model that combines vocational skills education, life skills education, and psychological support, while fostering collaboration among training centers, families, and enterprises. This integrated approach aims to enhance the effectiveness of vocational education and promote the social integration of adolescents with ASD.
